The fire marshal course is a half day program. By the end of the course the participant will be able to display an understanding of:

• The Fire Regulations
• Thorough awareness of organisational fire procedures
• The Fire Triangle
• Pre-evacuation awareness
• How to use various types of fire extinguishers for different fires
• Duties of a Fire Marshal including:
• Fire alarms
• Evacuation procedures
• Accounting for personnel
• Liaison with fire brigade
• Fire drills
• Re-entry to building
• Special Duties – Disabled, visitors, contractors
